Born in Long Branch, NJ, Delina was raised on democratic values by her strong, independent mother, and Irish immigrant grandmother.
Growing up with strong women and in a diverse neighborhood, Delina adopted values of meaningful relationships, honesty, earned trust, commitment to others, human dignity, accountability and a strong work ethic.
Delina and her husband started remodeling homes, and now have a construction company. Delina took care of the finances and contracts. She also has 10 yrs experience as a Financial Dir. for hospitals and received her BSN at ASU, now a RN.
She worked for U.S. Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell in Durango, CO. He was her mentor. His advocacy for civil rights of Native Americans and all people of color, women's rights, veterans, and more inspired Delina to run for congress. Many arduous discussions evolved and Delina learned a lot in regards to the federal issues facing our nation and how to bring everyone to the table, find common ground and having a moderate voice to listen and discuss very difficult issues.
She has seen the struggles people face with healthcare, ACA, preexisting conditions, Trump's tax cuts, action against women's rights and more. She will be your strong voice.
