Statement:
My beloved Arizonians voters! I’m President R. Boddie, shining in the 2024 race for US President. I lit up the Republican primaries, securing a robust 18th position out of 38 candidates in the 2020 General Elections as a write-in contender. I shocked the political world with over 25,000 votes in the California Democratic primary. Now, I bring my unique spirit, known as Dawson, a son of David Uniting America and Israel as one nation a new convent peaceful coexistence for Israelis and Palestinians. No more orchestrated wars by the Antichrist, Psalms 82:8 Arise O God “Inherit all nations”. The United States Praise Force will prevent mass shootings and let’s talk oil –drilling in the Dakotas “get dividends”. Motivate our students with “earn while you learn- get paid for your grades” and let’s become number one in education. Envision “In God We Trust” a trust account granting access to your treasury account, allowing you to discharge debt. Americans, real freedom with less debt, more money in your pocket. Don’t forget to ask God, should you vote for me? Inherit blessings, peace, and prosperity. Join the movement and let’s make Arizona and America winners under President R. Boddie.

Statement:
Ruben Gallego is the son of an immigrant mother from Colombia and an immigrant father from Mexico. He was raised in Chicago by his mother along with his three sisters and worked for most of his young adult life, including summer jobs at a hot dog joint and a meat packing plant. After high school, Ruben went to Harvard where he cleaned other students’ bathrooms, worked at a meat packing plant and was a reservist during college to afford school. He later used his money saved while fighting in Iraq to pay off the $15,000 he had left in debt. Ruben deployed to Iraq as a United States Marine Infantryman in 2005 where his company saw some of the worst fighting and the heaviest casualties of the Iraq War, losing 22 Marines and a Navy Corpsman in eight months. His military service led to him seeking public office. Ruben resigned from the State House in order to run for Congress in 2014 where he won a five-way primary with nearly half the vote. He has been elected several times since and is running for the United States Senate. Ruben lives in Phoenix with his wife Sydney and son Michael.

Statement:
I was born in 1948 in Mexico to parents from from Durango and San Antonio. I am currently chair of the Pima County Green Party. I am running for US Senate because I feel compelled to act to stop the genocide in Gaza and respond to threats of nuclear war and climate crisis brought by wars for empire carried out by the Democrats and Republicans. People are suffering from evictions, hunger, lack of affordable health care, staggering student loans, high rents and food prices, pollution of water, air. We , the Greens, can provide hope and start to realize the immense potential to fulfill human needs and end the cruel, dangerous reality we live under. With your help, we can build a movement to provide human needs for all instead of outrageous private profits for the few. I have been a labor, environmental , human rights, and peace activist most of my adult life. I’ve been President of the Machinists’ Union, the Teamsters, CWA, and Steelworkers. I founded Tucsonans for a Clean Environment (TCE) to address the contamination of our aquifer and destruction of the Santa Ritas by Hudbay/Rosemont.

Statement:
America has been in a slow and steady downward spiral since the tragically historical days in November of 1963 and it has led us to the 'Victorian' movement of today. These Victorians, largely comprised of the 'One Percenters', seek to weaken the 1st amendment, take away the 2nd amendment and enhance searches and seizures via the 4th amendment. We are engaged in the greatest class war of our times. Top down social engineering seeks to divide the country and keep us diverted from real problems such as proxy wars, transhumanism and intelligence gathering on the American public to name a few. The only people we should be concerned about are the poor, middle class and the elderly. As a former lifelong Republican, I am the alternative to the Uniparty and you will not hear my opponents addressing the issues of which I speak. Be independent, think for yourself, do your own research and come this November write me in. Thank you, David Bozic

Born in Arizona in 1965. My Mother was a teacher at Cactus Wren elementary, my Dad general manager a Baker Thomas building supply. I left AZ in 1986 to join the Army. I was stationed at Ft. Wainwright AK, and Ft, Hood TX. for Desert Storm. I have 12 years of of Regular Army and National Guard time working on the UH-1H helicopter. I came back to Arizona in 1996. Worked wild fire jobs for the NFS under civilian contract and worked for Boeing and MD on their fabrication lines. I met my wife in 1999 we were married in 2000 and it still feels like yesterday we met. My political views are simple I am a conservative individual but that is not my pledge to anyone who votes for me. I do not believe that the two party system works and that the federal government is broken. The main reason is that they work and get paid by the parties. I want to represent the people of this state not my views but the people. I want to do what the name describes, represent the people of Arizona.

Hi, my name is Amish, and I'm proud to have served as an Arizona State Representative for the last several years. I now ask for your continued consideration and support as I run for United States Congress in 2024. The last few years were stressful for our state and our nation, and I hope that we bring out the "better angels of our nature" in each of us as President Lincoln once said. Let's support and uplift each other as we face daunting societal challenges such as rising housing costs and homelessness, underfunded public education, and inaccessible or unaffordable health care. Meanwhile, we as your elected officials must work as hard as we can to deliver results for you on these fronts. I continue to push for a culture of hard work, civility, responsiveness, and a drive for excellence in our government. Amish Shah, MD

Statement:
I believe much of the division and animosity towards others in this country has been created by the income tax levied against working Americans. The latest statistics have the U.S. population at 341,814,420 people, and of that number, the most recent data shows there were approximately 161,270,000 million employed persons in the United States. To put it bluntly, it is unconscionable that less than half of the country's population is shouldering the responsibility of funding government spending. A fair and equitable tax code is needed to help heal the divide. Fix the funding - Fix the country. In 2023, foreign tourists spent over $192.7 billion in our country. A 7% federal sales tax would have given the government almost $13.5 billion dollars. That's just one example of the funds that can be generated through a federal sales tax. And it should be the only example you need to vote for me. I'll have foreigners helping to fund our government. I am campaigning exclusively through social media and will not use the traditional methods of campaigning. The traditional methods require obscene amounts of money and I don't want your money! I want your vote.

I am running for the Arizona State Senate because I care about my community and will fight to make Arizona a better place to live, work, raise a family and retire. In addition to your representative since 2016, I am an environmental law professor and the proud mother of a TUSD student. In Phoenix, I introduced legislation to fund our schools, teachers and staff, expand career and technical education, support families in need, promote clean energy and prevent the cycle of crime and poverty that is swelling our prisons. I proudly received a 100% score from the Children’s Action Alliance, an A from the Sierra Club, and the Friend of Cities and Towns award from the League of Arizona Cities and Towns. Arizona’s tradition of independence is more important than ever as we see the harmful impacts of the Trump Administration’s policies on our economy, people and environment. I will work alongside my colleagues to lead our country by example. There’s so much more I want to do for our community. Thank you for your vote to return me to the legislature.

Raúl Grijalva is a Tucson native who has dedicated his life's work to public service and improving the quality of life for Arizonans. Quality public education, protecting our public lands and environment, creating a functioning immigration system, and ensuring good wages and the right for workers to organize are some of his top concerns. In Congress, Raúl has led the fight to address climate change, hold polluters accountable, and preserve public lands for future generations. He advocates for providing needed resources to our faltering education system and making access to debt-free higher education a reality. He plays a leadership role in protecting Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, and creating a fair economy that benefits everyone, not just the wealthiest few. Raúl champions comprehensive immigration reform to create a functioning and healthy immigration system for our nation. He supports full funding to safely process asylum seekers, providing aid to local communities and organizations that are providing humanitarian assistance, and creating a secure status for existing undocumented individuals and families to bring those people out of the shadows. Raúl believes creating a workable immigration process is essential to fulfilling our obligations, addressing workforce and aging population challenges, and remaining a global leader.

Currently, I serve as Secretary of the Arizona Green Party. I am running for the Arizona Corporation Commission and as a Commissioner I will address some of the most compelling issues of our time: • I will move to immediately sanction Arizona companies complicit in the US/Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people. • To address the climate crisis… • We will also sanction the mining companies destroying the Santa Rita’s, Oak Flat and other Native American sacred sites and polluting our groundwater. • I will target agri-business companies’ waste of our scarce water resources in the middle of mega drought in the desert southwest. • Companies exploiting people with high rental rates and evictions will be evaluated for fines and sanctions accordingly. • We will identify energy companies that are slow-walking transition to renewable energy while promoting fossil fuels. They will face restrictions, fines and sanctions. • Insurance companies will not be permitted to profit from human suffering. We will demand fair rates until we can implement universal healthcare. • Weapons companies supplying the Democrats and the Republicans the tools for a permanent war economy and wars for empire bringing us every day closer to nuclear war will be sanctioned.

I am running for AZ Senate LD 1 with the Clean Slate for Democracy to take corruption out of politics. I want to strengthen traditional public schools and voter rights, the bedrock institutions of our democratic republic. The three-decade defunding of Arizona’s public schools, which has placed us last in the US, must be reversed to achieve the following: • A comprehensive solution for P-20 education, including increasing access and affordability of PreK and higher education. • More resources going to schools to serve the students most in need (poverty/opportunity weight). • Funding that solves our next fiscal challenges when federal COVID relief funds dry up in 2024 or the Prop 123 triggers activate. • A long-term fix for the Aggregate Expenditure Limit. • A significant investment in special education. • Funding for full day kindergarten • Raising teacher pay to a competitive level. Efforts to place election outcomes in the hands of partisan groups must be stopped. Let’s empower voters so voting is easy and secure. We need to retain early voting. To create an economy that works for all of us, Arizona needs a fair tax structure to prevent structural deficits and balance the tax burden equitably. CleanSlateAZLD1.com

My legislative record supporting low and flat taxes, limited government, school choice, parental rights, small businesses, election integrity, Border security, the sanctity of life, consumer protection, medical and religious freedom, criminal justice reform, and fighting human trafficking have earned me past recognitions from the Americans for Prosperity, AZ Free Enterprise Club, Center for Policy Action, as a "Champion of Liberty" from the Republican Liberty Caucus, and many others from pro family and medical freedom groups in Arizona and across the country. As Chairman of Ways and Means in the Arizona House, I ran an efficient ship, killing any bills calling for a tax increase. I also spearheaded efforts to reduce the impact of inflation by banning the food tax and the residential rental tax. I will continue to advocate for common-sense and transparent election integrity measures to secure and restore faith in our elections. By responding to constituent needs and concerns, I was re-elected in a swing legislative district in 2020. I will never back down from what is right. I’m a proud Phoenician, graduate of Arizona public schools, and State Senator. I raised my sons and foster children in LD4, and I’m in my fourth decade teaching. In 2016, I was Arizona’s Teacher of the Year. Through that experience, I traversed Arizona and saw firsthand the issues public schools face. What motivates me is the need for more balance in the legislature. One-party rule has stifled Arizona and harmed vulnerable populations. I’ve seen great bills fail without a hearing and radical legislation sail through our legislature. We need a new majority so better ideas can get a fair shot.

As your legislator I’ve written laws that helped create jobs, supported our small businesses by cutting bureaucratic red tape, protected health coverage for Arizonans with preexisting conditions, directed more money into our kids’ classrooms, created the Teacher Academy at our universities, helped employees get wages rightfully owed, protected survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse, confronted the opioid epidemic, shielded seniors from financial exploitation, promoted veteran-friendly college campuses, and increased savings for the state’s rainy-day fund (proving crucial during this pandemic). For these accomplishments I’ve won Guardian of Small Business, Champion of the Taxpayer, Friend of the Family, Open Government Leader awards and more. I even had the honor of being elected Arizona Speaker of the House, where I crafted fiscally responsible budgets and personally sponsored the largest education investment in state history, dramatically boosting teacher pay 20%. Today's historic health and economic challenges require someone with the right experience and a track record of success to navigate. That’s why I need your vote. Let me continue using my diverse background, which includes husband (to a registered nurse), father, professor and small business owner, with master's degrees in business and public administration, to keep delivering results for you.

Statement:
As the 2021 National Legislator of the Year, a 100% rated constitutional conservative legislator, a champion of the family and taxpayers, an A+ defender of the Second Amendment, and fierce advocate for the freedom, opportunity, and prosperity that exists in Arizona, you can have confidence that I'll always fight for you. At the Capitol I have been hard at work to secure our elections, cut taxes, help Arizona families struggling with inflation, protect children from sexually explicit materials in our schools, eliminate woke ideology throughout our government, defeat ESG, and much more. I believe Arizona's best days are still to come, but it will take patriots stepping up to win the war of ideas and rein in our out of control government. I believe that together, standing firm in the Lord, we will preserve freedom for generations to come. I’m proud to be running as a team with two incredible conservative Republicans, Jacqueline Parker and Neal Carter. I ask that you support all three of us. You get ONE vote for Senate and TWO votes for House. If you want a conservative team that works together to get great things done, please vote for HOFFMAN, PARKER, and CARTER for Legislature!

I’m proud to be your State Senator, and I never forget why I ran for office, or who I work for. I’ve worked to put an end to the liberal establishment running our state, and to make sure rural Arizona has a strong voice to stand up to the Maricopa County majorities that dominate our State Legislature. I’ve been named Champion of the Taxpayer, Friend of the Family, earned an A+ from the NRA, turned our state’s budget deficit into a surplus, and helped turn Arizona into the #1 pro-life state, #1 pro-2nd Amendment state, and #1 pro-school choice state in the country, all while cutting regulations and growing jobs! Your values are my values! I’ve served as Speaker of the House, giving Southern and rural Arizona real influence, and today, as the Senate Appropriations Chairman, that influence continues. My mission is the same – to give you, our district, and Arizona, my very best! I continue to fight for election integrity, secure borders, high-paying jobs, quality schools and school choice, taking care of our police and veterans, and more. I ask for your vote and thank you for the trust you've shown in me through the years. God bless!

I believe that democracy is best served by a vigorous discussion of the issues facing our state government. For too long opposing viewpoints are routinely ignored by our state elected officials. A strong multi-party system helps ensure that those in power are held accountable by the voters. Arizona state government must Invest in public education that guarantees ALL students in Arizona outstanding schools, build a modern infrastructure; stop tax breaks to special interests; allow local governments to govern; support economic fairness; champion diversity and inclusion, create an environment for sustained economic growth that provides good jobs and good pay checks for workers in rural Arizona while protecting our precious natural resources and environment; protect a women’s right to choose; and ensure access to affordable comprehensive healthcare for all. If elected, I will work hard as your state representative to be a voice for southeastern Arizona counties of Cochise, Greenlee, Graham and Pima. I pledge to listen to everyone, respecting those that do not agree with me; representing all of you, ethically, honestly, effectively and professionally. Republicans have controlled the state legislature for over three decades. It is time for new leadership in southeastern Arizona.

I'm Senator Sally Ann Gonzales. It's been my honor to serve my LD20 constituents for the past 13 years. My mission has been to advocate and protect our most vulnerable citizens; our children and elders. Now more than ever is this most crucial, as our country and state go through these uncertain times and as our Arizona's Universal Voucher Program is and will continue to bankrupt our state. I will continue to advocate for Arizona to provide a safety-net for all our citizens, in areas of health, employment loss and our children’s education. By Fully funding our public schools while improving the working conditions for our dedicated teachers is a must. I am also committed to expanding vocational opportunities and upgrading our workforce by funding and supporting programs like JTED. It is essential that our three universities/community colleges be recognized, treated and funded as engines of economic development in Arizona. Hi, I am Shauna Dempsey, and I am interested in serving my community as the Arizona State Senator for Legislative District 28 as a write-in candidate. My entire life has revolved around public service, beginning with active duty in the United States Marine Corps. During my tenure with the military, I earned top-secret security clearance where I also researched and compiled intelligence information for presentations, and other intelligence priorities. After an Honorable Discharge I transitioned to local law enforcement, where I served is a variety of positions to include conducting Block Watch meetings and as a School Resource officer. After retiring honorably, I sought out a State of Arizona position where I investigated fraud, waste, and abuse and collaborated with federal, state, and other local agencies. I have lived in Arizona for 44 years, I have built a wonderful life, and it saddened me there were no democratic candidates listed in my state senate seat. I feel the years I have served our community would allow me to be a great addition to Arizona State Senate. For this reason, I would like to be considered as a write-in candidate for State Senate District 28 seat.

Arizona has been home for over 30+ years. As long as I have been able to choose my home, it's been right here in The Great 48! I’m a true Constitutional Conservative, happily married ranch wife, bonus mom & Nana, cowgirl, and a Registered Operating Room Nurse. I’ve been in politics for many years, but the lockdowns, mandates, and shutting down of scientific debate during the Covid pandemic got me very involved in the fight for medical freedom and our rights. I am 100% a Trump supporter, an American who loves her country, and an Arizonan who knows we need a proven fighter at the State level! Election Integrity, Medical Freedom, Border Security, Securing our Water, Agriculture Industry support, Parental Authority via School Choice, and ensuring the protection of our God given Constitutional Rights are at the top of my list of current issues. We The People need to get the government and political establishment out of our everyday lives and increase OUR voices at the State and Federal levels of government! We need America First voices and fresh ideas in our Arizona State Senate and I have proven that I am the Nurse for this job!

I am a Kingman property owner and disabled Army Veteran who believes our water should be managed to protect the interest of the people, Arizona veterans who are falling through the cracks deserve better, and constitutional protections should apply equally to all citizens. I am an actor and director who is passionate about culture serving community. I am a son of the American Revolution – with deep roots in Pennsylvania. I came to Arizona three decades ago as a Rust Belt refugee with Appalachian values: invest in the community, help others, question authority. My favorite founding father said, “It is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority.” I admired Benjamin Franklin for that quote and for advocating to abolish slavery in our original constitution. My alma mater, Antioch College had the motto, “Be ashamed to die until you have won a victory for humanity”. Winning victories for humanity and questioning authority are the values that underpin my work in the arts, where I believe it is necessary to be realistic ask for the impossible, and gently push people to new possibilities. My performance work inspires productive discussions and creates experiences and forums to engage, build, and sustain community. Our legislature can be improved by learning to function like an ensemble theater with critical thinking and skillful listening. I want to renew the art of dialogue in our legislature and improve our quality of life. I look forward to serving you.

I am a candidate for the Arizona House in Legislative District 1. We are one community. We need legislators who will provide solutions to our problems, not seek to divide us. We all agree we need access to affordable healthcare and housing. We all agree too many of our residents are suffering due to mental health issues. Most of us agree women should have the right to make their own decisions about whether they are able to continue a pregnancy. I support the Arizona Abortion Access Act because I trust women. As an officer in the U.S. Navy, I took an oath to defend our Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. I am running to defend, protect and preserve the sacred cause of American democracy. I am a true oath keeper. I graduated from the University of Minnesota, where I studied Economics and Spanish. After my Naval service, I attended Albany Law School. Having grown up in a single mother household after losing his father as a byproduct of the opioid epidemic, Ari advocates strongly for programs that support starting families and combat the influx of life-threatening drugs like fentanyl into our communities. Running on a platform of long-term water solutions, improving our education system, lower housing costs, securing our border, and advocating for transparency in elections - Ari hopes to earn your vote.

Howdy everyone! I have had the honor of serving in the Arizona House of Representatives for the past two years. I've spent that time fighting against overreaching COVID mandates and supporting election integrity reforms. In 2021, I had more bills signed into law than any other first-year freshman in modern state history. I'm very proud I can be an effective Legislator for our district and I understand how to get the job done. During my first term, I was the Vice Chairman of the Transportation Committee. Also, I was a member of the Commerce Committee and Health Committee. Those topics are all fascinating to me and you'd be surprised what comes our way in those committees. I've spent my entire career in public policy. I've worked a combined 12 years at two different state legislatures, including here in Arizona, where I was a policy staffer for the Republican Caucus. I also worked at Americans for Prosperity, a Conservative entity focused on lowering taxes, regulations and shrinking government wherever possible. I'm running again to ensure our great state continues to be friendly for free markets and individual liberties! I look forward to earning your support.

Political discourse has descended into an us-against-them mentality and the major parties have encouraged it. Our problems in Arizona remain, not because they are unsolvable, but because parties need them as a wedge to rally their base to vote. They punish lawmakers for working in a bipartisan way, even at the expense of their own voters, to prevent the other side from having a "win". As an independent candidate for office, I am committed to running a positive and principled campaign. If elected, I will be accountable only to the people of Arizona, not beholden to a particular party, and I'll work with whoever I need to, regardless of party, to tackle the problems that face us and address the issues relevant to Arizonans.

Neither of us knew that we’d be dealing with a Democrat in the Governor’s office when you elected me to deliver on a bold conservative agenda. But you didn’t hire the kind of guy who makes excuses. So, instead, I found ways to get results. Whether it was helping deliver the first tax rebate in decades, getting major health freedom wins signed into law, attaching common-sense measures to secure our elections to must-pass legislation, or rolling up my sleeves to solve a water crisis in Rio Verde, we proved that hard work and creativity can advance Republican principles even in a challenging partisan environment. I’m running for re-election because my kids deserve to grow up in the Arizona I know and love. One where taxes and regulation are low, where parents, not bureaucrats, control their children’s education and where the government exists to guard your freedoms, not take them away. There’s still a lot more work to do and I’m not done fighting for you yet!

I will work to keep it that way and to ensure that every eligible voter can vote. Government is responsible for providing an excellent education for all our children. Education is our best investment in the future. I want to protect our public schools. We need competitive salaries for our teachers and support personnel. Children will be our future leaders, entrepreneurs, skilled workers, taxpayers and will increase our property values. I will work to limit voucher funding and support local bond elections. I want everyone in Arizona to be secure and to have opportunities and support for realizing their potential. I am running to give you a choice.

Since I was a child, I have always had an interest in politics. In 1988 I attended the Republican State Convention in Tacoma Washington. At that time, I wanted to run for office, but raising a family took precedence. I believe God and Family should be first in every decision we make. Now that my children are grown, and it's just my wife and I, she encouraged me to run for office, since LD6 needs Republican representation. My issues are listed below. I would like to promote trade schools in the region. We need to supply the tools for the people so the people could build stronger communities. We live in a rural area and trade schools are more realistic for the jobs in rural Arizona. I believe small business is the backbone of America. We need to support and strengthen small business in our communities. I have always valued life & believe life begins at conception. I am a pro life/pro family candidate that is committed to doing what it takes to protect families. I am a strong advocate for the 2nd amendment. I would appreciate your prayer & support.

I am a physician and proud fourth generation Arizonan. I am happily married to my wife Denise and have three children and eight wonderful grandchildren. Denise and I believe in service and have worked extensively with several local charities. In addition, we have volunteered numerous times for medical missions in the third world, treating children with severe Orthopedic disabilities. I'm a lifelong republican and ready to drain the Arizona swamp. I'll fight to end illegal immigration and prohibit taxpayer-funded benefits for those here illegally. I'll secure our elections, so it is easy to vote but impossible to cheat. I'll keep taxes and regulations low so our economy can thrive. I'll support school choice and parental right and work to abolish CRT, DEI and protect women's sports. I'll improve our healthcare systems. I'm prepared to stand up against government bureaucrats trying to impose unconstitutional and ineffective medical mandates. I ran a successful medical practice for decades and know that government is too large, too burdensome, and too expensive. Restoring our liberties means making government smaller and returning to our constitutional roots. This includes free speech and the right to bear arms. I'm ready to roll and ask for your support.

First elected to the House of Representatives in 2010 on a platform of smaller government, lower taxes, and more freedom, Olson exemplifies what it means to be a citizen legislator. Unlike the career politicians who often become out-of-touch with needs and concerns of their constituents, Olson has always held full-time employment in the private sector while serving his constituents as a lawmaker. Working in a demanding career as a tax analyst has kept Olson grounded in the day-to-day realities of earning a paycheck, putting food on the table and working within the laws that misguided politicians too often create. This perspective has led Olson to successfully advocate legislation to decrease the burden that government places on families, small businesses and individuals. Olson’s commitment to conservative principles has led nearly every conservative organization in Arizona to rate him as one of the very best of the state’s legislators. Those recognitions include “Champion of the Taxpayer” by American’s for Prosperity, an “A” rating by the National Rifle Association, and a “Champion of Small Business” by the National Federation of Independent Business. Statement:
I'm not just your average candidate—I'm your neighbor, your friend, and a fierce advocate for fairness and accountability in government. Born in Arizona, I returned five years ago to contribute to our workforce, embrace our vibrant community, and strengthen family ties. Inspired by our shared values of family, justice, and community, I'm motivated to bridge the divide caused by polarization. Gandhi's words—"Be the change you wish to see in the world"—guide my mission to represent District 10 in the State Legislature. Community service isn't a checkbox for me—it's a way of life. With a background in organizational communication and public administration, I bridge the gap between industry and government, fostering collaboration for progress. Believing in the power of education, I've dedicated my career to shaping lives and building bridges in our public schools and higher education systems. As a mother to four thriving adult children, family time is precious. Whether we're tackling projects together or enjoying the beauty of the Salt River, I cherish every moment. Electing me isn't just about politics—it's about amplifying our shared values to make District 10 a better place where opportunity abounds and families prosper.

I'm a U.S. Army Veteran, Scientist and Mom. I see the world of opportunity for our children getting smaller: from access to education, making their own family planning and healthcare decisions, the environment they will inherit, and whether they will have a voice in their democracy. Arizonans deserve a better future. I want to expand the choices and opportunities for Arizonans. As a mother, I think a lot about the legacy we are leaving to our children. Politicians rarely seem to consider what the long-term ramifications their policies will have on subsequent generations. We are the stewards of their future. I fought for our country, our freedoms, and our future. Our country is currently divided and that doesn’t help Arizona families. The government needs to work for us again. “We the people” needs to mean something once more. We need to bring common sense back into government, to focus more on issues that bring us together, less on what divides us, and a return to fiscal responsibility that can still meet the needs of Arizona's working families. That’s the example we need to set for future generations!

Serving as your representative is a position of sacred trust, a trust I take very seriously. Issues close to my heart include protecting religious liberty and the unborn, reducing taxes and spending, eliminating government waste, enhancing border security, and protecting the integrity of education through expanding parental rights and school choice. I am 100% pro-life: I voted for the heartbeat bill and for an end to chemical abortions: 100% pro-2nd Amendment: a longtime CCW permit holder myself and sporting enthusiast; 100% committed to reducing taxes: I've signed Americans for Tax Reform's pledge never to raise taxes, and 100% committed to freedom whether it be health freedom, educational freedom, or economic freedom. Victories this past session include fighting against mask requirements by passing a bill in the State House banning masks at all government offices and standing up for local determination where incorporation is involved. Fighting for you means building allies with shared vision and tested principles. I'm proud to be running with Jacqueline Parker and Jake Hoffman as your conservative, constitutional voice in the legislature. Remember how it used to be just a few short years ago? Arizona families didn’t have to worry about the price of groceries or gas prices. Under President Trump’s leadership, Arizona was thriving. We had record-low unemployment, and our communities were safer than ever before. Today, Arizona is in free-fall. Like the rest of the nation, we are facing a rapid decline. The family unit is being torn apart, violent crime is rising, our police are being vilified, and government bureaucrats are controlling virtually every aspect of our lives, all while career politicians sit idly by, letting it happen. Like you, I believe in the promise of Arizona and I'm willing to fight for it.
That's why I'm running for the Arizona State Legislature - because Arizona families need a fighter. I will represent We The People, not the powerful. I will make America First a priority, not just a campaign talking point.
That means ending illegal immigration, protecting the integrity of our elections, fighting for our shared conservative values, and keeping Washington out of our lives. My name is Michael Way. I'm running to be your Republican representative in District 15, because Arizona families are worth fighting for.

I am an Arizona native, born and raised in mining communities. I am pro-union, pro woman's right to choose, pro LGBTQ and human rights. I am an advocate of public education. The privatization of our public school system is fraught with corruption and there is little to no accountability. I believe we need to strengthen all of our institutions in order to secure our Democracy and maintain a civil society. And that includes the peaceful transfer of power. We must not give election deniers who push fake electoral schemes, the ability to assault and destroy our democracy. Arizona must address immigration reform and push congress to find common sense, legal and humane solutions to a decades old problem. I am in concert with the founding fathers and believe in separation of church and state. I believe in science and the threat of climate change to our planet Republicans are not the party of fiscal responsibility. They have left Arizona with a 2 billion dollar hole in our budget because of flagrant abuse of school vouchers and tax breaks for the rich. Time for change. Lets be proactive. Craft new laws appropriately representing our views is more efficient than asking The Bench to rule on statutes. Two years later he arrived at Fort Huachuca, AZ and fell in love with the sky and stars of Southern Arizona. Gregg returned to Fort Huachuca three more times through his 23 year Army career that included combat deployments to Afghanistan and peacekeeping duties in Kosovo. As former president of the College Republicans of Salisbury University, Gregg left the GOP in the mid-2000s when he recognized that his old party’s values were shifting towards populism and xenophobia. Born and raised in Arizona, it is a privilege to call the beautiful city of Yuma my home. I am a single, working mother and I dedicate my free-time to volunteering for local school programs and community causes. I ran for office to address concerns over the current state of our economy, the needs of our rural community, our kid’s education, and the safety of our neighborhoods. As a mother, I am committed to fighting to bring change that will improve our quality of life and create a bright future for our children. As your State Representative, I have invested in law enforcement to keep our streets safe, increased penalties on drug dealers and human smugglers, and stood up for rural Arizona. We have to protect our water and it is critical to maintain local control over our natural resources. I am proud to represent the great District 23, and I do it with love for our neighbors and country. I believe we can achieve more by working together, like balancing our budget, standing up for small businesses, and providing resources to our first responders. Learn more at MichelePena.com

Lydia Hernandez is the daughter of migrant farmworkers, born in South Texas. Her resilient path began at a young age as a migrant coupled with her parents' insistence on the importance of education are the key components that created Lydia’s hunger for knowledge. She is a graduate of Baylor University. In Arizona, (1993), she grew into a leadership role with Valley Interfaith Project as a grassroots leader, organizing public actions. Her involvement & leadership led to the birth of the Arizona Coalition for Immigrant Rights, an effort to civically engage families in public discourse which ultimately culminated in the massive marches that encouraged over 300,000 families to advocate for immigrant rights. This exposed Arizona nationally, and for the first time, our state was engaged in the conversation with national groups regarding training, civic engagement, citizen workshops, voter registration, and get-out-the-vote efforts. Currently, Mrs. Hernandez serves on the Cartwright School District Governing Board #83 where she has served since 2003. In 2010, under her leadership, turned the District academically around. Mrs. Hernandez is a former State Legislator for LD29 with over 30 years of experience in public service! EDUCATION! JOBS! HOUSING! HEALTH CARE! BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ALL!

I’ve just finished my first term and I can tell you that the battles being fought at the national level between left and right are very real at the state level too. I promised you I’d be a strong conservative voice and I kept my word. I defend the taxpayers, fight for election integrity, vote for school choice, and fight to end illegal immigration. I’ve written bills to secure our elections and provide real transparency and accountability. I’ve voted for efforts to secure our borders in the face of this unreal Biden Border Crisis. I’ve championed agriculture issues for Yuma and the West Valley in Maricopa County, and Arizona’s long-term water future. And I’ve battled the left on a host of issues ranging from taxes to public safety to protecting girl’s locker rooms to school choice to fighting for your medical freedom. I’m grateful for the support I’ve gotten from veterans, cops, doctors and more, and I’ll keep fighting the swamp right here in Arizona. As Chairman of our local district GOP I worked hard to re-elect President Trump, Congressman Gosar, and others, and I’m doing the same today as your Representative. Together, we will do great things for Arizona!

Statement:
Though I have long been politically conservative, I had little interest in running for office before 2020. But then the Air Force unsuccessfully tried to kick me out after a stellar 19-year career, simply for refusing an emergency-use COVID-19 vaccine I was not legally required to take. That experience, combined with overt tyrannical actions of countless “leaders” nationwide, convinced me that quietly transitioning into civilian life after the military was not in the cards. Since then, I have made dozens of media appearances and worked with Congressmen Matt Gaetz, Jim Jordan and Thomas Massie to find redress for thousands of servicemembers unjustly impacted by vaccine mandates. The experience has shown me how much we need courageous political leaders who are unafraid to stand against a popular tide of tyranny — not just about medical freedom, but also border security, gun rights, gender confusion, free speech, water issues, election integrity, the unborn and so many others. I am asking for your vote as the only veteran running in Legislative District 25 for state representative. I was willing to risk losing everything during COVID for what I knew was right — and I’ll keep doing the same as your elected Official.

I moved to Surprise, Arizona in 2011 with my wife Lynn, where we opened an award-winning restaurant, New York Flavor. Most of my career was in Marketing and New Business Development. I have been a lifelong advocate, husband, father, and board member. I am currently a board member of The Vista Center for the Arts in Surprise, AZ, committed to bringing quality affordable Arts and Performances to the West Valley. In my present role as a Realtor, I am excited to provide families and individuals with equitable opportunities to become homeowners. Our state is facing some of the greatest challenges we have ever seen. Whether it is the oppression of women and minorities; public education, climate change, affordable housing, wealth, and racial inequality the outlook can seem bleak. I am eager to join our state legislature to apply the knowledge and experience gained over my lifetime, to guide Arizona into the future. When hard-working, committed people come together to reach a goal, we can achieve things that may seem impossible. My experience as a businessman, board member and advocate for democratic issues, is the reason why I will be your LD 25 State House Representative.

I’m a lifelong conservative Republican who has spent years on the front lines. That’s why I was asked to run and why I’m eager to work with other Legislators to meet Arizona’s challenges. Start with obvious stuff like fighting illegal immigration, improving our economy, and trying to bring down high inflation rates, prices on gas and food, and housing costs. We need to continue cleaning up our election process so that every voter can trust the results, no matter who wins. We need to protect school choice from liberal efforts to shut down Arizona's amazing charter schools and ESAs. We need to support our law enforcement and fight the scourge of fentanyl that is killing hundreds of thousands of Americans each year. Then we get into other critical issues like health care, infrastructure, long term water planning, agriculture, looking after our veterans, and an abundant energy supply. I'm running with Kevin Payne and Tony Rivero and we will work as a team.

When I ran for office, I promised to put taxpayers and families first, and I’ve done exactly that. Every candidate claims to support conservative ideas, but I have an actual 100% VOTING RECORD for secure elections, a strong border (including a border wall), and an end to illegal immigration. I have a 100% pro-life and pro-2nd Amendment record. I’ve earned the “Friend of the Family” and “Hero of the Taxpayer” awards and have led on education funding and teacher pay increases. The Wuhan virus hurt our economy but today, Arizona is the fastest recovered state in the country thanks to our low tax and regulatory burden, and a pro-growth environment that keeps government out of the way and lets the free market do its thing. I have opposed special interests, voted NO on bad bills, and was proud to be a 2016 delegate for Donald Trump at the RNC National Convention, so now I have a contested primary. Bring it on! I work for you and will keep doing what’s right. I’m running as a team with Beverly Pingerelli and Frank Carroll and we are glad to be your Proven Conservative Team! I ask for your vote. Thank you!

I'm running for the Arizona House of Representatives in Legislative District 28. In my first 2-year term, I stand by a conservative voting record, sponsoring and supporting legislation to improve accountability in educational spending and academic standards, promoting school choice and parental rights, defending the sanctity of life, vigorously fighting against governmental overreach and mandates, and strengthening Second Amendment and religious freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution. Fiscally, I believe economic growth is achieved through lower taxation and regulatory reform, and that election integrity and government transparency are essential to restore trust. I’ve been married 34 years, and my husband and I are blessed with two beautiful daughters. We’ve lived in Arizona for 18 years and our children attended elementary and high school in Peoria. I am hoping to serve the citizens of LD 28 by helping the Arizona legislature focus on the issues affecting them and all Arizonans. I am proud to be a second generation native, and believe the future of the state depends on our willingness to work together to face the issues before us. I support public education that teaches critical thinking and problem solving and I believe growth of our economy is dependent on support for small businesses and affordable housing for workers. As a state, we need to manage our resources – especially water – for the benefit of all, now and in the future. Individuals should be free to exercise the tight to make decisions for their own lives without government interference. We need to work together to find a humanitarian solution to immigration issues. All of these intertwine, and need to be done for the sake of Arizona’s future. My background as a teacher of History, Government, and Economics and my willingness to listen to people and work toward solutions without an agenda make me someone willing to protect Arizona's future.

Proposition 133

AMENDING ARTICLE VII, SECTION 10, CONSTITUTION OF ARIZONA; RELATING TO PRIMARY ELECTIONS.

Overview:
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ARIZONA CONSTITUTION BY THE LEGISLATURE RELATING TO PRIMARY ELECTIONS

Official Language:
REQUIRES DIRECT PRIMARY ELECTIONS FOR PARTISAN OFFICES TO ALLOW EACH RECOGNIZED POLITICAL PARTY TO NOMINATE AND PLACE ON THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT AS MANY CANDIDATES FOR EACH OFFICE AS THERE ARE OPEN POSITIONS. PROVIDES THAT DIRECT PRIMARY ELECTION LAWS ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE SUPERSEDE INCONSISTENT CITY LAWS.

A “yes” vote shall have the effect of amending the Arizona Constitution to require that when the Legislature enacts laws regulating direct primary elections for partisan offices, those laws shall supersede any city law, regulation, or policy to the contrary. The primaries would be conducted in a manner so that each political party represented on the ballot may nominate for each office a number of candidates equal to the number of positions to be filled for that office in the ensuing general election and requires eligible candidates who are nominated at a primary election to be placed on the next general election ballot.

A “no” vote shall have the effect of keeping the current laws related to partisan primary elections.

Pro Arguments    Con Arguments

Proposition 134

AMENDING ARTICLE IV, PART 1, SECTION 1, CONSTITUTION OF ARIZONA; RELATING TO INITIATIVES AND REFERENDA.

Overview:
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ARIZONA CONSTITUTION BY THE LEGISLATURE RELATING TO INITIATIVES AND REFERENDA

Official Language:
FOR A STATEWIDE BALLOT MEASURE TO QUALIFY TO APPEAR ON THE BALLOT, SIGNATURES FROM A PERCENTAGE OF THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS IN ALL 30 LEGISLATIVE DISTRICTS WOULD BE REQUIRED, AS FOLLOWS: 10% FOR STATEWIDE INITIATIVES; 15% FOR CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS; AND 5% FOR STATEWIDE REFERENDA.

A “yes” vote shall have the effect of amending the Arizona Constitution to require an applicant wishing to place a statewide measure on the ballot to collect a certain percentage of signatures in each of the 30 legislative districts, rather than a percentage of the total number of statewide voters. Signatures from 10% of the voters in each district would be required for a statewide initiative to appear on the ballot. Signatures from 15% of the voters in each district would be required for an amendment to the Arizona Constitution to appear on the ballot. Signatures from 5% of the voters in each district would be required for a statewide referendum to appear on the ballot. If a proposed measure does not obtain the minimum percentage of signatures in any one of the 30 legislative districts, it would fail to qualify for the ballot, and would not be presented to voters.

A “no” vote shall have the effect of keeping the current constitutional language requiring only the signatures of 10% of the total number of statewide voters for an initiative to amend a statute, 15% of statewide voters for a constitutional amendment, and 5% of statewide voters for a referendum.

Pro Arguments    Con Arguments

Proposition 135

AMENDING ARTICLE IV, PART 2, SECTION 1, CONSTITUTION OF ARIZONA; AMENDING ARTICLE V, SECTION 4, CONSTITUTION OF ARIZONA; RELATING TO THE GOVERNOR.

Overview:
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ARIZONA CONSTITUTION BY THE LEGISLATURE RELATING TO THE GOVERNOR

Official Language:
TERMINATES GOVERNOR’S EMERGENCY POWERS, EXCEPT FOR POWERS RELATING TO WAR, FIRE, OR FLOOD, 30 DAYS AFTER THE GOVERNOR’S PROCLAMATION, UNLESS EXTENDED BY THE LEGISLATURE. REQUIRES THE GOVERNOR TO CALL A SPECIAL SESSION UPON PRESENTMENT OF A PETITION SIGNED BY AT LEAST ONE-THIRD OF THE MEMBERS OF THE LEGISLATURE.

A “yes” vote shall have the effect of amending the Arizona Constitution to automatically terminate any emergency powers granted to the Governor thirty days after the date the state of emergency was proclaimed, unless the Legislature extends the emergency powers granted to the Governor or the emergency relates to war, fire, or flood. If the Legislature does not extend the emergency, the Governor may not declare a new state of emergency arising under the same conditions. Additionally, if requested by at least one-third of the members of each house of the Legislature, the Governor must promptly call a special session for the purposes of terminating or altering the emergency powers granted to the Governor during the state of emergency.

A “no” vote shall have the effect of maintaining the current emergency powers of the Governor.

Pro Arguments    Con Arguments

Proposition 136

AMENDING ARTICLE IV, PART 1, SECTION 1, CONSTITUTION OF ARIZONA; RELATING TO BALLOT MEASURES.

Overview:
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ARIZONA CONSTITUTION BY THE LEGISLATURE RELATING TO BALLOT MEASURES

Official Language:
AUTHORIZES A PERSON TO BRING A LAWSUIT TO TRY TO STOP A VOTER-PROPOSED INITIATIVE FROM BEING PLACED ON THE BALLOT IF THAT PERSON SUES AT LEAST 100 DAYS BEFORE AN ELECTION AND CLAIMS THE VOTER-PROPOSED INITIATIVE WOULD VIOLATE THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION OR THE ARIZONA CONSTITUTION.

A “yes” vote shall have the effect of amending the Arizona Constitution to allow lawsuits regarding the constitutionality of a voter-initiated ballot measure to be filed at least 100 days prior to the election, in order to stop the measure from being placed on the official ballot. If a challenged voter-initiated ballot measure were found unconstitutional, the Secretary of State or another officer in charge of elections would be prohibited from placing it on the official ballot.

A “no” vote shall have the effect of preserving the current state of the law, which typically requires challenges to the constitutionality of a voter-initiated ballot measure to be brought only after the voters have decided to approve a ballot measure.

Pro Arguments    Con Arguments

Proposition 137

AMENDING ARTICLE VI, SECTIONS 4, 9, 12, 37, 38, 39, 41 AND 42, CONSTITUTION OF ARIZONA; RELATING TO THE JUDICIAL DEPARTMENT.

Overview:
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ARIZONA CONSTITUTION BY THE LEGISLATURE RELATING TO THE JUDICIAL DEPARTMENT

Official Language:
ELIMINATES JUDICIAL TERMS AND REGULAR RETENTION ELECTIONS AND NULLIFIES THE RESULTS OF THE 2024 JUDICIAL RETENTION ELECTIONS, FOR ARIZONA SUPREME COURT JUSTICES, COURT OF APPEALS JUDGES, AND SUPERIOR COURT JUDGES IN COUNTIES WITH OVER 250,000 PERSONS. ALLOWS SUCH JUSTICES AND JUDGES TO HOLD OFFICE DURING GOOD BEHAVIOR UNTIL AGE 70.

A “yes” vote shall have the effect of amending the Arizona Constitution to eliminate judicial terms for judges of the Arizona Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, and judges of the Superior Court in counties with more than 250,000 people. Voters will no longer have the ability to decide whether to retain those judges at the end of their judicial terms. Those judges would instead be subject to a retention election only if they were convicted of a felony or a crime involving fraud or dishonesty; were a debtor in a bankruptcy proceeding; held a mortgage under foreclosure; or did not meet performance standards according to the Commission on Judicial Performance Review. The House of Representatives and the Senate will each be able to appoint one member to the Commission. If any legislator asks the Commission to investigate whether a judge has engaged in misconduct, the Commission must investigate that allegation. If approved, these amendments will apply retroactively such that votes cast in the November 2024 election about whether to retain a judge will not be given effect.

A “no” vote shall have the effect of maintaining the current system of voters deciding whether to retain a judge at the end of their judicial term.

Overview:
The Arizona Abortion Access Act amends the Arizona Constitution to establish a fundamental right to abortion that the State (defined by the act to mean the State, an agency of the State, or a political subdivision of the State) may not deny, restrict or interfere with [1] before the point in pregnancy when a health care provider determines that the fetus has a significant likelihood of survival outside the uterus without extraordinary medical measures unless justified by a compelling governmental interest (defined by the act as a law, regulation, policy, or practice enacted for the limited purpose of improving or maintaining the health of an individual seeking abortion care, consistent with accepted clinical standards of practice and evidence-based medicine, and that does not infringe on that individual's autonomous decision-making) that is achieved by the least restrictive means, or [2] after that point in pregnancy if a health care provider determines an abortion is necessary to protect the life or the physical or mental health of the pregnant individual; and under which the State may not penalize individuals or entities for assisting a pregnant individual in exercising their right to abortion.

Official Language:
CREATES A FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT TO ABORTION. LIMITS THE STATE’S ABILITY TO INTERFERE WITH THAT RIGHT BEFORE FETAL VIABILITY. AFTER FETAL VIABILITY, ABORTIONS ARE ALLOWED WHEN NECESSARY TO PROTECT THE LIFE OR HEALTH OF THE PREGNANT INDIVIDUAL. PROHIBITS LAWS PENALIZING A PERSON FOR ASSISTING AN INDIVIDUAL OBTAINING AN ABORTION.

A “yes” vote shall have the effect of creating a fundamental right to abortion under Arizona’s constitution. The State will not be able to interfere with this fundamental right before fetal viability unless it has a compelling reason and does so in the least restrictive way possible. Fetal viability means the point in the pregnancy when, in the good-faith judgment of a treating health care professional, the fetus has a significant likelihood of survival outside the uterus. Throughout the pregnancy, both before and after fetal viability, the State will not be able to interfere with the good-faith judgment of a treating health care professional that an abortion is necessary to protect the life or health of the pregnant individual. The State will not be able to penalize any person for aiding or assisting a pregnant individual in exercising the right to an abortion.

A “no” vote shall have the effect of not creating a fundamental right to have an abortion under Arizona’s constitution, will leave in place current laws that restrict abortion before fetal viability, and will allow the State to further restrict or ban abortion in the future.

Overview:
This Constitutional amendment expands choices in primaries, eliminates party-based restrictions on election participation, and applies the same rules to candidates for the same office. It prohibits using public monies for party elections, including presidential preference elections not open to all voters. For primaries for state, county, and Congressional offices, candidates for the same office have the same signature requirements and appear on the same ballot. Everyone eligible to vote for an office may vote for any candidate and sign any candidate petition regardless of party affiliation. Parties may support candidates. Law may allow candidates to list party affiliation, as provided in amendment. For 1-winner races, 2 to 5 candidates may advance to the general, as provided by law. For multi-winner races, additional candidates advance. If 3 or more candidates may advance in 1-winner races, voter rankings are used at the general. If implementing legislation isn't operative by 11 /1 /2025, Secretary of State decides how many candidates advance and the voter ranking process, if any, subject to legislative modification as provided in the amendment. Legislature may change the number of candidates for an office who advance once every 6 years. Amendment is exempt from revenue source requirement.

Official Language:
ALL PRIMARY ELECTION CANDIDATES FOR A GIVEN OFFICE WILL HAVE THE SAME SIGNATURE REQUIREMENTS FOR BALLOT QUALIFICATION. ELIGIBLE VOTERS MAY VOTE FOR CANDIDATES REGARDLESS OF PARTY AFFILIATION. THE LEGISLATURE MAY PRESCRIBE THE NUMBER OF CANDIDATES ADVANCING TO THE GENERAL ELECTION. PROHIBITS USING PUBLIC MONIES FOR POLITICAL PARTY ELECTIONS.

A “yes” vote shall have the effect of allowing all eligible voters to vote for any primary election candidate, regardless of party affiliation; imposing the same signature requirements on all candidates for a given office who wish to appear on the primary ballot; generally prohibiting the use of public funds for political party elections; allowing future law to determine how many candidates advance from the primary election, as well as the process by which candidates are elected at the general election; and if future law provides that three or more candidates may advance to the general election for an office to which one candidate will be elected, voter rankings shall be used.

A “no” vote shall have the effect of maintaining current requirements related to primary and general elections processes.

AMENDING TITLE 12, CHAPTER 1, ARTICLE 1, ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES, BY ADDING SECTION 12-116.12; REPEALING SECTION 12-116.12, ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES; AMENDING SECTION 13-1204, ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES; AMENDING SECTION 13-1204, AS AMENDED BY SECTION 3 OF THIS RESOLUTION; AMENDING TITLE 38, CHAPTER 8, ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES, BY ADDING ARTICLE 4; REPEALING TITLE 38, CHAPTER 8, ARTICLE 4, ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES; RELATING TO FIRST RESPONDERS.

Overview:
REFERRED TO THE PEOPLE BY THE LEGISLATURE RELATING TO FIRST RESPONDERS

Official Language:

ESTABLISHES STATE SUPPLEMENTAL BENEFIT FUND, WHICH SHALL CONTINUOUSLY BE APPROPRIATED THROUGH A PENALTY FEE ON EVERY CRIMINAL CONVICTION. INCREASES PUNISHMENTS FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULTS AGAINST FIRST RESPONDERS.

A “yes” vote shall have the effect of requiring the State of Arizona to pay $250,000, which would be referred to as the State Death Benefit, to the surviving spouse or children of a first responder killed in the line of duty; creating a State Supplemental Benefit Fund to pay the State Death Benefit; increasing criminal punishments for aggravated assaults against peace officers and other first responders; and require a $20 penalty fee be imposed on every criminal conviction to fund the State Supplemental Benefit Fund. The State Death Benefit, $20 penalty fee, and increased criminal punishments for aggravated assaults would expire on January 1, 2033.

A “no” vote shall have the effect of not requiring the State of Arizona to provide a State Death Benefit for first responders killed in the line of duty.

AMENDING TITLE 42, CHAPTER 17, ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES, BY ADDING ARTICLE 9; REPEALING TITLE 42, CHAPTER 17, ARTICLE 9, ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES; RELATING TO PROPERTY TAX.

Overview:
REFERRED TO THE PEOPLE BY THE LEGISLATURE RELATING TO PROPERTY TAX

Official Language:
PROPERTY OWNERS MAY APPLY FOR A TAX REFUND FOR EXPENSES INCURRED DUE TO A GOVERNING AUTHORITY’S FAILURE TO ENFORCE CERTAIN PUBLIC NUISANCE LAWS ON OR NEAR THE OWNER’S REAL PROPERTY. THE REFUND MAY NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT THE PROPERTY OWNER PAID FOR THE PRIOR TAX YEAR IN PRIMARY PROPERTY TAXES.

A “yes” vote shall have the effect of establishing the right to apply for a refund from a property owner’s most recent property tax payment up to an amount that matches costs incurred by the property owner to mitigate the effects of a governing authority’s repeated failure to enforce laws and ordinances prohibiting illegal camping, loitering, obstructing public thoroughfares, panhandling, public urination or defecation, public consumption of alcoholic beverages, and possession or use of illegal substances. If the documented costs exceed the amount of the most recent property tax bill, the property owner would be permitted to apply for a refund from their next property tax payment(s) to cover the balance of the initial claim. Property owners would be eligible annually for refunds until the taxing entity begins enforcing the relevant public nuisance laws.

A “no” vote shall have the effect of retaining the current primary property tax payment laws and regulations.

Official Language:
REQUIRES THAT A PERSON CONVICTED OF A CLASS 2 FELONY FOR CHILD SEX TRAFFICKING BE SENTENCED TO IMPRISONMENT IN THE CUSTODY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR NATURAL LIFE WITHOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF RELEASE.

A “yes” vote shall have the effect of eliminating the current sentencing ranges for a Class 2 child sex trafficking conviction. The sentence for a person convicted of a Class 2 felony for child sex trafficking would be imprisonment for natural life without the possibility of release.

A “no” vote shall have the effect of maintaining the current statutory sentencing ranges for those convicted of a Class 2 felony for child sex trafficking. The current sentencing ranges are between 7 years and natural life imprisonment without the possibility of release, depending on the age of the victim, the defendant’s criminal history, and other factors.
